We are expanding a new Fire Consultancy business unit, designed to establish Harmony as a leading provider of fire risk assessment and strategic fire safety advice. This new division supports housing providers, local authorities, developers and asset owners across complex, high-risk and high-rise buildings.

About the Role
As Fire Risk Assessor, you will undertake fire risk assessments across residential properties, high-risk buildings and complex environments. You will deliver Type 1 and Type 3 FRAs, with opportunities to work across Type 2 and Type 4 assessments depending on experience.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality FRA reports, supporting client relationships and contributing to the development of our FRA methodology and standards. This role provides strong progression towards senior assessor roles, specialist pathways and further qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Type 1 and Type 3 Fire Risk Assessments across residential buildings
- Deliver Type 2 and Type 4 assessments where competent
- Apply strong working knowledge of the Fire Safety Order 2005, Building Safety Act 2022 and relevant secondary legislation
- Assess fire safety arrangements within both general needs and complex buildings
- Conduct evidence capture using SaaS platforms during site visits
- Produce structured, detailed and compliant FRA reports
- Support clients with technical advice and follow-up actions
- Contribute to internal quality assurance and continuous improvement
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a growing consultancy team
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience conducting FRAs
- Tier 2 or Tier 3 on the IFSM Fire Risk Assessor Register
- Level 4 fire safety qualification required
- Understanding of H&S assessments and HTM code beneficial
- Experience with HRBs and complex buildings advantageous
- Strong communication, reporting and client-facing skills
- Comfortable using digital inspection tools
- Highly organised, detail-driven and proactive
- Working towards professional membership at GiFireE or above
