About Harmony Fire
Harmony Fire is experiencing significant growth across the Social Housing sector and expanding into new and emerging industries that are shaping the future of building safety and compliance. As our work-winning activity accelerates, we are building a world-class bid function to match the scale of our ambition.

We are passionate about making a difference and obsessed with quality. Our mission is simple: protect people, properties and communities through exceptional compliance services and unwavering commitment to excellence. As we grow, so does our impact — and the Senior Bid Manager will play a key part in shaping that journey.

The Role
We are looking for a Senior Bid Manager to lead major tenders across Social Housing, fire safety, asset compliance and future-facing sectors. This high-impact role is responsible for the full bid lifecycle — from opportunity identification to final submission — ensuring every response is strategic, accurate and compelling.

You will bring structure, leadership and high-quality writing, while coordinating stakeholders across Operations, Commercial, Business Development, HSQE, Sustainability, Finance and other key teams. This role is central to developing our bid processes and elevating the quality of our submissions as the function continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage major bids from launch to submission, ensuring high-quality, compliant and well-positioned responses
  • Lead stakeholder engagement across the business, ensuring clear communication and timely contributions
  • Research clients, sectors and tender requirements to tailor submissions effectively
  • Draft clear, compelling written responses and oversee quality assurance
  • Ensure all documentation aligns with Harmony’s standards and brand
  • Use AI and drafting tools to improve efficiency and consistency
  • Maintain and continuously develop the bid resource library, including standard responses, CVs, performance data, HSQE, sustainability and EDI information
  • Work with teams across the business to improve content, evidence and supporting materials
  • Manage Salesforce governance gateways and ensure accurate reporting of tender information
  • Support clarification stages, client queries and portal management
  • Identify new tender opportunities and support the Bid/No Bid process
  • Drive continuous improvement in bid processes, templates and best practices

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing and writing major tenders within Social Housing, fire safety, maintenance, compliance, FM or similar sectors
  • Strong bid writing capability with clear, structured and persuasive communication
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage competing deadlines
  • Strong numeracy and confidence working with commercial information
  • Proactive, detail-focused and able to work independently
  • Degree-level education or equivalent; APMP Practitioner (or working toward) preferred
