Ranked in the top 25 best service companies to work for in the UK, we now have an opportunity for a Project Manager to deliver profitable projects with the highest quality workmanship, compliance and customer satisfaction.

Key aspects of the role

  • Project Management of fire safety works including fire compartmentation and fire door projects in both the residential and commercial markets for both public and private sector clients.
  • Delivery of projects to time and on budget, through effective valuations, forecasting revenue, managing handover, ensuring budget sufficient for works, controlling expenditure sign off including: prelims, labour, subcontractors & suppliers, monitoring & tracking costs, protecting GP, owning purchasing decisions, signing off payment applications. Identify and resolve with clients any variations.
  • Management of subcontractors, engineers and suppliers in relation to the project delivery.
  • Managing snagging and quality control process of completed projects.
  • Liaison with residents and ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Producing estimates for additional works and variations to contracts.
  • Managing commissioning and handover process of completed projects.
  • Responsibility for managing commercial and health and safety risks to ensure project success

Key Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of carpentry & fire stopping in both residential and commercial applications.
  • Site Management or Site Supervisor Qualification
  • Expert knowledge of the requirements of relevant technical standards including BWF, Firas, BM Trada & LPCB technical guidance
  • CSCS Card for relevant scope of job requirements
  • Proficiency in site management of installation projects from small works of circa 5k to large installations up to 5 million
  • Experience of running multiple projects to time and on budget.
  • Exceptional influencer who influences positively at all levels across the organisation.
  • Great people skills, able to lead and mentor a team to support the companies’ objectives and help support progression of others in the team.
  • Creative thinker who finds solutions to problems.
  • Excellent planning, budgeting and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with external customers – must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build confidence, trust and respect amongst internal and external customers
  • First class written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, confident, tenacious, resilient and flexible
