Key Requirements:
Key aspects of the role
- Manage the day to day running of one mobilised client including weekly and monthly meetings
- Meeting clients at least once a quarter & adding value through social value, PR videos and other strategies
- Ensuring the timely quotation of works, measured through agreeing reasonable PTC (path to completion) for estimating section of the wider PTC and being accountable for this.
- Commercial astute through maximising Gross Profit on jobs whilst keep the client on board by understanding the client, project specification and our supply chain. All total project value quotes over £2k should have 3 quotes and bid levelling template completed and saved down with handover material.
- Follow and advocate the Harmony estimating best practice.
- Persuasive and tactically empathetic.
- Detailed, put's everything in writing and has a 'do it right first time' attitude.
- Creates comprehensive, well presented client facing documents for costing works that clearly show VFM and allow the client to understand quickly.
- On time finisher of assigned tasks
- Great at negotiation, price justification and technical sales i.e., can convince a customer through price justification, rapport, sell the added value Harmony adds, explains how we are different, demonstrates social proof
- Second in command when Assistant Pre-Construction Manager is on holiday or on training. Steps in for key meetings, forecasting and other critical Assistant Pre-Construction Manager responsibilities
- Collaborates very closely with their opposite number in Delivery
- Leads on handovers for their client
- Ontime & detailed finisher of stretch assignments from Assistant Pre-Construction or Pre-Construction Manager
- Helps train Surveyors and Estimators on what they need to improve on
- An ambassador for compliance holding everyone around you to account to Harmony’s 100% compliance objectives
- Help with the onboarding and training of new estimators
- Identifying and mitigating risk to the business at all stages withing the pre-construction phase
- Develops and promotes the Harmony Methodology
- Records all activity in Salesforce
- Updates SF accurately with new/updated opportunities in salesforce proactively, requesting permission from PCM when estimating opportunities and understanding values associated.
- Adheres to the forecasting rules and drills the detail wherever possible on an opportunity to understand the costing mechanic for every deal.
- Leads with a couple of clients and is trusted by the APCM and PCM that they will give the client confidence and trust.
Key KPI’s
- Number of quotations per month set by Pre-Construction Manager
- Maximising GP on the client they are accountable for
- 3 quotes (unless exceptions agreed with PCM) with bid levelling document completed for all project value purchased over £2k.
- First time right quotations
- 90 Day Objectives
