Ranked in the top 25 best service companies to work for in the UK, we now have an opportunity for a Estimator- Surveyor working within our Pre-Construction team.

Key Requirements:

  • Carrying out fire door surveys and fire compartmentation surveys to enable project teams to accurately price and plan remedial works, and to carry out these surveys in line with BM Trada and Harmony Methodology Scroll procedures 
  • Accurately record all activities on Simpro including capturing photos and updating asset records 
  • An ambassador for compliance holding everyone around you to account to Harmony’s 100% compliance objectives 
  • To provide informal advice to client’s fire officers and maintenance surveyors to ensure opportunities to improve fire safety are not missed and that basic awareness of fire stopping/fire door principles are understood 
  • To carry out auditing on completion of any remedial works by project teams to ensure original work scope has been achieved and that all works have been done in accordance with relevant technical guidance from manufacturers and accreditation bodies 
  • Has a detailed, accurate and 'do it right first time' attitude 
  • Proactively pursues a continuous professional development programme to develop, maintain and document your professional skills as the industry, regulations and material change over time  
  • Confident and outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Communicate with staff, customers and the public via email, telephone or face to face 
  • Coordinate team and manage individual workload including management of deadlines and holding colleagues accountable to deliver on agreed work programmes. 
  • Estimate different systems from a supplied CAD Drawing, Specification or equivalent 
  • Gain competence at estimating in all aspects of fire protection 
  • Supporting the sales team to maximise sales efficiency and success 
  • Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors gaining competitive pricing 
  • Full UK Driving license 
  • Good working knowledge of IT apps, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Etc.) 
  • Be willing to work both within the office and travel out to site to survey
